"There will be no foolish wand-waving or silly incantations in this class." This is the first thing Severus Snape says the first time we meet him. I imagine he gives the same speech to each First Year class. I imagine he's pretty damn tired of giving it, too.

Original concept drawn on Tru-Rite 100% sulphite paper in HB and 2B charcoal pencil, scanned into computer, painted with GIMP 2.6.
